I was Awarded a George Fox Scholarship and a Soroptomist Scholarship

Wow, it has been way too long. So much has happened in the last two terms. I have been deep in my studies the last 5 months. Since I have become a College Tutor for 2 departments, for math & Anatomy I have been too busy to check into my Restless Hens site.

I love helping students become stronger in their academic skills. I have learned so much with helpine over 100 students so far. I learn so much more and so differently when I take knowledge I have mastered and share it in different ways to other students trying to learn the same concepts. It is a great way to strengthen the synapse path of that knowledge in your own mind. I tend to believe that all students should break into groups and banter back and forth as a team while rehashing any new lectures for at least an hour. It seems to cement the concepts in a stronger way and recall of the difficult material is more successful when trying to apply what you have learned.

I have 3 exams this week. I nailed Psych yesterday and today I take my Anatomy and then tomorrow my Microbiology. Wow a tough week, I feel like a zombie!!!

Good News though. The hard work is paying off and the Lord is providing!!! Praise God!! The Soroptomist Scholarship is trying to reach out to me and I think I may have been honored with an award from them. I hope to make phone contact with Lori Giles today on that. And I was awarded the highest academic transfer scholarship and accepted to George Fox University!!! I still have to work very hard the next 6 months to try and land the necessary financial puzzle pieces to make sure I can get a car and come up with the remainder of necessary funds for 2 years at George Fox. They are a private University and the budget required to attend there is pretty steep indeed. But if God sees me there then I have faith he will provide. I just have to have faith in him and do the work everyday that is expected and required from me. :) I will do it with a smile. :) I am very excited about all of this news

My girls have been wet and soggy and they escaped the coop yesterday!  When I cam home form school it was pitch black and the girls were not in their coop!  what the heck did I leave the latch unlocked. The while leghorns are skinny and hyper and brave enough to try and squeeze the door open. Foghorn and Leghorn are the trouble makers !!! LOL So of course I heard them chirping in the area and found them hiding and perched in the strangest places throughout the firewood shed and porch and slithering around the coop. Bad Bad Bad Girls!!

I love my chickens, just wish I had time to raise more. I still have my 9 and when they get sick I always take care of them and nurse them back to health. Kind of a chicken doctor. I have had 100% success rate thus far, from broken legs to horrible flu and cold. Some of them were just hours from fading away. My favorite sick ward is the bathtub. I give them 12 hours of undivided attention, electrolytes, antibiotics, and cottage cheese, and lots of love and cleaning and they usually pull right through.

I'm off to get on the Bus time to face my Anatomy Exam, Endocrine and Digestive System here I go!!!!

I give my thanks and shout out to the Soroptomist Club, I know Lori has good news for me today :)
